Yuni Lee is a mixed media artist, born in South Korea she came to America with high passion and an eagerness to further her artistic expression. She has a diverse art-making practice using mix-media, vibrant colors and collective patterns to demonstrate dimensional harmony of both earth and technology and she is committed to making art about expression, power and community. She disciplines in color patterns, blending of materials to express about different cultures and nature. Her large-scale paintings and installation works recycle elements of both contemporary and traditional visual culture – the bright color-scrapes and the materials of mass-production mix their DNA with the forms and palettes dancing in the harmony of traditional Korean paintings.

She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and Performance. She is also a graduate of Masters of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the University of North Texas. She has participated in numerous group and collaborative exhibitions in Texas including Fort Worth Community Art Center and Greater Denton Art Council. She is currently an adjunct professor teaching at the University of North Texas. Her work is also represented by Ro2 Art Gallery in Dallas. She currently resides and teaches in Denton, Texas.
